Building a Better World Through Compassion

Glorious Divine Care Widows Foundation (GDCWF) is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation based in Abia State, dedicated to improving the living standards and livelihoods of rural women and children in the Akwete, Ndoki, and Uzoakoli Amamba LG surrounding communities. Operating for the past six years, GDCW Foundation has implemented numerous empowerment, health, and education programs targeting vulnerable groups, particularly widows, orphans, and at-risk children. Through its projects, the Foundation has consistently promoted community resilience, gender inclusion, and poverty reduction, making a lasting impact on the lives of those it serves.

Free Rural Medical/training Outreaches

Improve access to basic healthcare for rural populations. Quarterly mobile clinics will provide free screenings for major diseases, treatment, referrals, and health education, while training 10 community health volunteers per LGA. These efforts aim to deliver medical assistance and health awareness to 10,000 individuals.

Provide educational support to orphans and vulnerable children. Atleast, 500 children will receive educational sponsorship covering school fees, uniforms, and materials, along with mentorship and basic health support. Sponsors will get regular progress updates, ensuring transparency.

Skills Acquisition and Empowerment for Widows

Empower widows with practical income-generating skills and sustainable business training. One thousand widows will be trained each year—100 per cycle—in soap-making, branding, and marketing, supported by financial literacy workshops and, where funds allow, starter kits and small business assistance.
